On Thursday morning we left Nichols Park Marina at 7 and followed "The Zone" and "Jim's Joy" to New York Harbor. Jim needed fuel so we were going to wait for him at Liberty Landing while he got fuel and then travel up the Hudson together. There is a lot of boat traffic on the Hudson near Liberty Landing and we were getting tossed around quite a bit so we proceeded up the river. This part of the trip was all about seeing the city and taking pictures so here are a few.

From Brown Eyed Girl going to Half Moon Bay

Once you get out of the city the traffic calms down and the water smooths out. The river is wide and deep and not much traffic so we had a great day of travel. We stopped for fuel in New Jersey at a small yacht club and by the time we finished, Jim and Ross had passed us. We never caught them but we were not far behind. We arrived at Half Moon Bay which is in Croton on Hudson, NY in the early afternoon and got settled. There was a gathering of loopers and non loopers at 5:00 so we were able to meet some new people. We had walked to the grocery store earlier in the day so we had stuff for dinner on the boat. The marina is in front of a condo complex and is pretty nice.
