Sold the House and Getting Ready to Move Aboard

The house has been sold, I am retiring on June 30th and we are moving on board full time July 1.  We are staying with our friends Deb and Craig and their two children until we leave Columbus.  The boat was launched on April 14th and I have been working on several projects since then.  I have the satellite TV dome installed, a 2,800 watt inverter, a backup VHF radio and an AIS receiver that connects to the laptop running Coastal Explorer as a backup chartplotter.  There are still more projects but I will have time in July to complete those.  Ginny and I are getting excited and can't wait to get started.

Selling the House and Retiring

We are in contract to sell our Condo and I informed by boss that I am retiring on June 30.  We are going to move on board in July and leave on August 1, 2011.  There is so much preperation that it seems we will never be ready.  Besides buying charts and reading all of the current blogs, there are things to buy for the boat such as satelitte TV, Inverter, spares, ect.  The boat is still in shrink wrap in Port Clinton Ohio so I can't really work on it until April so until then I will keep planning and keep you informed.
